Lookouts
Two lookouts meet in a desert, far from the sight of their gangs.
With more in common than they could've expected, they scout out a town with rumours of gold.
What will become of this fateful meeting?

Lookouts is a romance visual novel about two gay trans masc outlaws in the old west, finding refuge in each other, and a little hope for a better life.
With roughly 45,000 words of story and a 5-6 hour reading time, it's a much expanded version of the original made for the Gay Western Jam. The original jam version can be played here!
Controls: Click or press spacebar to progress/show dialogue. The menu bar will show up in the top right hand corner if you tap/mouse over it.
Loading the game in the browser version may take a while depending on your internet connection. If it looks like it isn't loading, don't worry, it is! Just give it a minute or two.
CW for: alcohol, smoking, gun violence (with SFX), gun death, blood, injury, mild transphobia, discussions of racism and settler violence. Injuries aren't described in graphic detail but there are some visual aids and allusions.

A friend insisted that i should play Lookouts and I was not prepared for a game this good!
I loved everything from it and especially the art style that is really cute and unique!
The story is so touching I ended up finishing all routes and decided to buy the gold edition (the art book and other stuff are great)
Thanks to the devs (and the French translation team) for this amazing game! I hope to see more from y’all!

If I could I would buy this 20 times over and put myself into the game. An A+ tier game. If you don't play this you are missing out. I wish I could get the same feeling as playing it the first time. I LOVE this game, hope they make something else like this in the future.

Opened itchio in the middle of a family meeting and after a year I still like it so much I bursted out crying in front of everyone 100/10 ppl should play this
Played this game after a bad breakup. Made me feel a hell of a lot better. I absolutely love the connection between Robin and Joseph and the art style really stuck out to me. I teared up and the ending a little bit too. I want more games that have LGBTQ+ diversity and over the top sappiness just like this one. Thanks for this project, it may not mean a lot to others, but it was an amazing experience for me.
Absolutely loved it. I randomly stumbled upon this game while looking for LGBT+/Gay games I could play. And I'm glad I found it. I played through the whole game in one night. I couldn't stop, it was just that good. Loved everything about it. The art style was cute, the music and everything just complimented it. Will buy the gold edition soon when I have the money for it. Because I just loved everything about it and I want the extras.

Hi Paranoidhawk. When I try to install the APK on my Samsung Galaxy S24 (running Android 14), I get the error "App not installed as app isn't compatible with your phone." Googling the error, people say the it's because the app is 32-bit and newer phones only support 64-bit apps.
If this is the case, are there plans to release a 64-bit version of the game for Android? I'd really appreciateit if so!
